Big Hammer

As a high school senior, David Roskos came across an issue of a zine called The Smith and its “Poetry We Usually Reject” issue. He says he was, “was taken with the overall spirit of devil-may-care FUN that it exuded.” It the late-80s he decided to create one of his own and began physically deconstructing the magazine that inspired him to figure out how it was put together. By 1988 he’d produced one of his own. Roskos has produced 14 of them, the latest published in 2011.
